Privacy policy
This page explains what personal information SureBetUK collects, why, who it's shared with, and the rights you have over it. We collect as little as we can to run the service.
Who we are
SureBetUK is an independent information service based in England. We are the "data controller" for the information described on this page.
To contact us about anything on this page, including a request about your information, message our Telegram bot, @sports_arb_guest_bot.
What we collect, and why
- When you subscribe: your email address, your name if you give it at checkout, and your subscription and payment status. Our payment provider, Stripe, collects these at checkout. We use them to give you access, manage your subscription and keep payment records. Your card, bank or Revolut details are handled by Stripe and never reach us.
- When you link Telegram or message our bot: your Telegram user ID, your Telegram display name and anything you send us. We use them to add you to the alerts channel, remove you when your subscription ends, and answer your messages.
- When you join one of our Telegram channels: Telegram shows us the public profile name of each member.
- If you apply to our partner programme: the name, email, platform, audience size, preferred code and promotion plan you type into the form.
- When you visit this website: we count visits with GoatCounter, which does not use cookies and does not store your IP address. It records the page you visited, the site that referred you, your browser and screen size, and the country you're in. Our website host, Netlify, processes your IP address to deliver pages and may keep it briefly in its server logs.
Our legal reasons for using it
- To provide the subscription you've paid for (performing our contract with you).
- To keep financial records (a legal obligation).
- To answer support messages, prevent misuse such as shared invite links, and improve the service (our legitimate interests).
Who we share it with
We use a small number of providers to run the service, and they process information on our behalf:
- Stripe for payments, subscriptions and the billing portal.
- Telegram to deliver alerts and support messages.
- Hetzner, whose server in Helsinki, Finland, stores our subscriber records.
- Netlify to host this website and receive partner applications.
- GoatCounter for anonymous visitor statistics.
Some of these providers process information outside the UK. Where they do, they rely on safeguards recognised under UK law, such as adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses. We never sell your information or share it with anyone for their own marketing.
How long we keep it
- Your subscriber record (email, Telegram ID and subscription status): while you're subscribed and for up to two years after you leave, so we can deal with refunds, disputes or a return. Then we delete it.
- Payment records: six years, because UK tax law requires it.
- Support messages: kept in our Telegram chat history until you ask us to delete them.
- Partner applications: up to two years, or until you ask us to delete them.
Your rights
You can ask us to give you a copy of your information, correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or object to how we use it. You can also ask for your information in a portable format. Message our Telegram bot and we'll respond within one month.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. We'd appreciate the chance to put things right first.
Cookies
This website doesn't set cookies. When you pay or manage your subscription, you're on pages hosted by Stripe, which uses its own cookies for security and fraud prevention.
Age
SureBetUK is for adults aged 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the date at the top. If a change affects you significantly, we'll tell subscribers in the alerts channel.
